As I cross part of the country after taking the daughters to the airport, I feel my feelers soaking up the sunlight. A welcome change after weeks of rain. I enjoy the clear blue sky and the play of light in the changing landscape. In my nose is a hint of daughters’ perfume, promising the warmth of hugs for a while longer.
Slowly the light disappears and gives way to the dark blue of the falling evening. At that moment, a beautiful flight of ducks flies in V formation over the motorway. Just when I think that one day cannot contain even more magic, there after the turn, just above the horizon in front of me the moon appears in all its splendour. A gigantic, warm yellow, perfectly round balloon.

Sometimes life blinds me. The grey skies, the persistent rain. The too-long-worked-too-little-sleep days. The how-did-I-do-this-now-on days. The I-do-so-hard-my-best-and-why-actually days.
And then - 5 senses on - I wake up, the veils removed. In that enchantment of the mundane, I feel the beauty that is always there. Beauty that I love to share with you.
